Arsonist Sentenced To 2 Year In Prison Sentence

A Red Bluff arsonist has been sentenced to prison after blowing her chances to avoid it. 28-year-old Raeann Scott had prior arrests, including for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse in 2014. In July of last year she had a problem with a Red Bluff man so she filled a beer bottle with gasoline, lit it on fire and threw it at his apartment on Union Street. Alert neighbors were on it quickly, and they extinguished the fire before it caused much damage. The fire wasn’t reported until Scott returned the next morning and started throwing bricks at the windows of the home. That’s when officers were called. They found Scott a couple of blocks from the house walking away and determined she was on Methamphetamine. She was arrested on a number of charges, including arson of an inhabited structure. She was sentenced to 300 days in county jail and ordered to complete a drug program. After recently failing a drug test for Meth, she’s now been sentenced to 2 years in state prison.
