Historic Hawes Farms is again launching their annual Fall Festival, with attractions that include a civil war re-enactment, hoedowns, costume contests, shooting zombies with paintball guns. New this year are bumper cars and go-karts. This years giant corn maze design is an image borrowed from the “We Back The Blue” organization. Greg Hawes, whose family has owned the land for more than 150 years, says his wife, a former sheriff’s department employee, came up with the idea. The season kicks off with a focus on public safety personnel Saturday. The corn maze also has the logos for Redding’s Rock 106X and Channel 7. Hawes Farms is at the corner of Dersch Road and Deschutes Road. All the details are at historichawesfarms.com.
