Crews are still mopping up and patrolling for hot spots at a fire in the Whitmore area. The “Cow Fire” was declared contained at around 2:30PM Sunday afternoon at 95 acres after Cal-Fire and Whitmore Volunteers got a hose line all the way around it. The burn is off of Whitmore Road near Old Cow Creek Road. The cause is still under investigation.
