A man in his 60’s riding a bicycle suffered major injuries when he was hit by a truck in Anderson Tuesday morning. Just after 9:30AM the unidentified bicyclist was riding along Riverside Avenue when a heavy duty utility truck pulled away from the stopsign at the northbound Interstate Five offramp. A large amount of blood could be seen on the pavement where the bicyclist landed. He suffered major head trauma and was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where he’s listed in critical condition. Anderson Police are trying to contact the victim’s family. They also would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
