A Redding man has been found dead south of Red Bluff. Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies were called on Monday morning to Rawson Road, where a body had been discovered. It’s believed to have been there for at least a month due to the state of decomposition, but an ankle monitor was still intact. It had been issued by the Shasta County Probation Department to 34-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia of Redding. After the body arrived at the Tehama County morgue a tattoo was found that positively identified the body as Garcia. The remains have been sent to the Chico State University Anthropology Department to try and determine a cause of death and time frame.
