Teachers of the year have been selected for Shasta County. Each year one teacher each is chosen from elementary, middle school, and high school. The Shasta County Office of Education says teachers are chosen for meeting the challenge and complexity of evolving educational needs. They’ll be recognized at the educator appreciation dinner in the springtime. The elementary teacher of the year is Sharon Murphy of Millville School. Middle school honors go to Tiffany Rodrigues of Parsons Junior High. The top high school teacher is Becky Warren of Anderson New Tech.
