A young teenage girl has vanished from Burney. The mother of 13-year-old Angelina Rodriguez reported her as a runaway last Wednesday evening. She had dropped Angelina off at around 6 O’clock at the Word of Life Church in Burney. Angelina signed the church log book and spoke to several friends, but left on her own before the evening activities had concluded. When her ride home arrived she was no longer at the church and she has not been heard from by her family ever since. Deputies and detectives have been following leads and now believe that Angelina had planned to leave the church early that night, but her destination is not known. She’s been entered into the national database as a runaway juvenile and a flyer has been distributed to law enforcement. No Amber Alert was issued because the case did not meet the definition of a known abduction and there’s no evidence that Angelina is in danger.
