28-Year-Old On House Arrest Sentenced To Prison Term

Someone serving a sentence on house arrest is supposed to behave as they would if they were in jail. Instead, a Red Bluff man apparently continued to behave as if he had never been arrested. 28-year-old Benjamin Hodges had an electronic monitor strapped to his ankle when Tehama County D.A. Investigators stopped by his house to check on him. They found 2 shotguns and a pistol along with a lot of ammunition, 2 pairs of metal knuckles, a large quantity of marijuana and concentrated cannabis along with the remnants of a butane honey oil extraction operation. They also found gang-related items and Hodges told investigators he was a member of the Nortenos. He’s been sentenced to 8 years in state prison.
