A couple of small children were taken by the county after a drug bust off of Airport Road Tuesday morning. Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force arrived with a search warrant at the home on Sunset Lane after reports that 26-year-old Jesse Caldwell and 24-year-old Alicia Bailey were dealing drugs. Both had active warrants and Bailey was on the most wanted list. When agents approached the front door the couple fled to the bathroom but they soon gave up. A search allegedly turned up 12 Grams of Methamphetamine and a small amount of Marijuana along with syringes. A scanner was on monitoring police radio channels. Agents say some of the drugs were in easy reach of two children, ages 5 and 8. The kids apparently lived in the home with their parents, Adam Haught and Shylea Caldwell. The house was reportedly in deplorable condition, with an overwhelming stench of animal feces and urine that was soaked into the carpet. All four adults were arrested for felony child endangerment. Bailey and Haught were also charged with drug possession.
