A repeated alleged car thief has been arrested again by Anderson Police. 47-year-old Matthew Gould was arrested in August when he was allegedly caught at the Jack In The Box in Anderson with a stolen motorcycle. He was issued a warrant in that case and was arrested on it Monday, then released on his own recognizance. At 10 O’clock Monday night an Anderson Police Officer saw Gould walking quickly away from a Honda Civic on Ox Yoke Road near Hirsch Court. Gould was detained and the Honda turned out to be stolen. Gould said he didn’t know anything about it but he apparently had the keys to the car in his pocket. Then he said he had bought it off of Craigslist, but the owner was contacted and refuted that story. Gould was booked into jail on several charges.
