A fisherman made an unsettling discovery Wednesday morning at Lake Shasta. Chris Peters was fishing from the bank just north of Digger Bay Marina when he came across a dead body floating face down next to the shoreline. Sheriff’s Deputies, who retrieved the body by boat, say the deceased was a white male adult but identification was impossible due to the decomposed state. The coroner’s office will try to identify the man and how and when he died.
