A Shasta County probationer is going to prison for repeated violations. On May 26th sheriff’s deputies and probation office personnel did a probation search at the East Stillwater Road home of Dustin Warmington, who fled into the woods and was caught later. Deputies found a lot of stolen goods at the property. While they were there Michael Mattson pulled into the driveway, saw the deputies, and immediately sped away. Deputies followed him and stopped him on Churn Creek Road near Highway 299. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for burglary. On Tuesday Mattson was found guilty of a probation violation for being a felon in possession of ammunition. He was sentenced to seven years in state prison.
