Husband Of Missing Woman Passes Polygraph Test

As the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office continues the search for a missing mother at risk, a polygraph test may quell persistent rumors that cast doubt on the woman’s husband. The last known sighting of 34-year-old Sherri Papini was at 2 O’clock last Wednesday afternoon when she was seen jogging on Sunrise Drive. Her husband Keith used a “find my phone” app to locate her cell phone and other items near the intersection of Sunrise and Old Oregon Trail. The sheriff’s office says he has been cooperative throughout the investigation. There’s no physical evidence against him and he’s not a person of interest in her disappearance. Detectives are even more sure of that since Keith submitted to a polygraph test on Monday. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Anthony Bertain says they’ve heard all the theories and Wednesday he said they’re still trying to determine if her disappearance was voluntary or involuntary. More than 200 tips have been received and are being processed but so far no solid leads have been reported. Sherri Papini is 5-foot-4 and 100 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.  Photos are on our Facebook page. A 50,000 Dollar reward is available. The sheriff’s office can be reached through Shascom at 245-6540 or tips can be submitted to mcu@co.shasta.ca.us.
