A driver in hayfork was pulled from his burning vehicle Wednesday afternoon, but he died of his injuries. Just after 5 O’clock the unidentified 27-year-old Hayfork man was driving a Subaru WRX on Tule Creek Road near Green Gate Road when the car drifted across the opposing lane, off the road, and into a tree. Witnesses pulled the man from the car, which completely burned up. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
