A house in North Redding is a total loss from a fire that broke out Monday afternoon. At about 12:45PM Redding Firefighters followed a huge dark smoke column to 685 Ridge Road, located off of midway between Twin View and the freeway. Neighbors said the residents were out of town. The house was completely destroyed. The cause is still under investigation. A vacant house next door sustained minor damage from the flames.
