A federal employee of the Sierra Army Depot in Lassen County has been sentenced for credit card fraud. 58-year-old Daniel Hankins worked for the motor pool at the facility in Herlong. He took government credit cards from the depot and shared them with his family, including his son and co-defendant Jeremy Hankins. They used the cards to pump 17,605 Dollars worth of gasoline into their personal vehicles. Hankins pleaded guilty to 49 counts of conspiracy and theft of government property. He was sentenced Monday to 5 months in federal prison and must pay all the money back.
