An attempted carjacking near Palo Cedro Sunday evening led to an arrest in Cottonwood Monday, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was parked in a driveway on Kiwi Lane off Old 44 Drive when 25-year-old Dylan Duclos allegedly walked up and demanded the vehicle, at one point holding a knife to the victim’s throat. Despite that, the victim was able to drive away unharmed. Duclos, who’s on felony probation for car theft, left on foot. At 11 O’clock Monday night deputies learned that Duclos might be at a home off Trefoil Lane in Cottonwood. He was found inside a trailer a little after 1AM and took him into custody. He reportedly was in possession of items taken in a burglary on Old 44 Drive Monaday. Duclos was booked into jail on several felony charges.
