Trial Delayed For Men Accused Of Violent Crime Spree

A mistrial has been declared in the robbery of the Bare Roots Hydroponics Store. The hold-up was part of an alleged violent crime spree last October. Jose Luna and two brothers both named Felix Ruben Ayala are accused, along with other defendants, of the murder of 61-year-old Bradley Stephen Yoder at his house on Shasta View Drive, an attempted robbery with a shot fired at a Shasta Lake home, a home invasion robbery in the town of Live Oak in Sutter County, and the armed robbery of the Bare Roots Hydroponics Store on East Cypress Avenue. A trial had begun for Jose Luna and one of the Ayala brothers but it was cut short Wednesday. One of the defense attorneys had a conflict arise and could no longer be involved in the case. The trial has been reset for January 10th.
