A 63-year-old Redding man has been found guilty of first degree murder for the killing of a relative. The jury reached it’s verdict last week against Ralf Reuschel. The body of 33-year-old Timothy Arron Mitchell was discovered in May of last year in an old shallow mining pit near French Gulch. He had arrived in Redding April 24th and stayed with Reuschel and his wife at the Premier RV resort on North Boulder Drive in Redding. Five days later Reuschel and Mitchell had an argument at the RV park that ended when Reuschel shot Mitchell dead. Mitchell’s body was kept in the RV for several days before Reuschel hauled him out to French Gulch to dump him. Sentencing is set for February 27th.
