Public Health Hosting Vaccination Clinic

Adolescents often miss a recommended set of vaccinations, so Shasta County Public Health has declared “Preteen Vaccination Week”. There are three vaccines that will be administered during a clinic Thursday from 4PM to 6PM at the county offices on Breslauer Way in Redding. T-Dap covers Tetanus, Diphtheria and Whooping Cough. The other shots are for Meningococcal Meningitis and Human Papillomavirus- or “HPV”. Medi-Cal is accepted and there’s no charge for partnership health plan members. Incoming 7th graders must provide proof of a Whooping Cough shot before starting school. More information is at shastashots.com.
