An Anderson woman has been charged with murder. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched at 9 O’clock Friday night to El Rio Estates on Riverside Avenue. They found a deceased woman who had shot, and another woman who had been assaulted. The injured woman was hospitalized and released. Both victims names are being withheld, as well as the apparent motive. Witnesses were interviewed and detectives determined 30-year-old Crystal Ann Odom was their suspect. She’s a relative of both victims and had lived at the home where the incident happened. On Saturday Odom was found at the Quality Inn on Hilltop Drive. She was questioned and reportedly admitted to the killing and the assault. She’s in jail on a Million Dollars bail. She’ll be arraigned on Wednesday.
