A purse snatcher messed with the wrong lady in Red Bluff Monday afternoon. The 47-year-old woman was at Wal-Mart at 5:40PM and was loading things into the trunk of her car when a woman ran past and grabbed her purse from the child seat area of the shopping cart. She then ran to a silver Honda Accord and hopped in the passenger seat. The car started to take off, but the victim was not ready to give up her purse so she dove headfirst into the open drivers side window and got her hands on the purse. The driver started to drive out of the parking lot with the woman’s legs dangling out the drivers side window. She had her wits about her though and grabbed the gear shift, shoving it into park, then backed out of the window with the purse in her hand. The Honda sped away westbound on Luther Road. The getaway driver is a white man with tattoos covering both arms. The purse snatcher is a small blonde woman in her early-to-mid 20s. Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anything about it is urged to contact Red Bluff Police.
