The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a Red Bluff man who was shot dead March 9th, allegedly by the mother of his child. At 10:30 that morning Tehama County Deputies were dispatched to Pettyjohn Road near Cannon Road west of Red Bluff, where they found 51-year-old David Michael Martin dead from multiple gunshot wounds. After identifying him, detectives went to a nearby home looking for 37-year-old Brandy Irene Turner. She allegedly admitted to them that she had shot Martin dead. She said the two of them had been in a relationship and had a 3-year-old child together. She said she had arranged to meet him at the Pettyjohn Road location so they could discuss visitation of the child, who was not with her at the time. They apparently got into an argument that ended with Martin’s death. Turner is in Tehama County Jail on One Million Dollars bail.
