Woman Accused Of Stabbing Death Pleads Insanity

A Redding murder suspect is pleading insanity. 26-year-old Corey Willyard is accused in the November 20th stabbing death of 27-year-old Cody Graham in North Redding. Officers sent to Yogi Court off of White River Drive in the neighborhood south of Caterpillar Road arrived to find Graham was already dead. Police were told by witnesses that Willyard had fled on foot. He was at large for several days until his capture in Bella Vista. At his preliminary hearing Tuesday Willyard was ordered to go on trial for murder, burglary and vehicle theft. He’s also accused of lying in wait for the victim. He entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Two psychologists were appointed by the court to evaluate Willyard. Their reports are due in June.
