Redding Police have identified the victim of a shooting near Martin Luther King Park over the weekend, and a reward is offered in the case. Early Saturday morning, at 1:43AM, witnesses in the neighborhood west of Railroad Avenue reported gunshots. When police arrived they found a man slumped over the wheel of a car on Eugenia Avenue. He had been shot multiple times but was still alive and was transported to a hospital, where he’s in critical condition. He’s identified as 34-year-old Andre Alexander Avant of San Leandro.
