A Redding man was one day out of prison when he was arrested Monday. 20-year-old Seth Michael Thompson was in prison for assault with a deadly weapon, and was just set free on Post Release Community Supervision. Monday night a Redding Police Officer spotted a stolen car being driven through a neighborhood off Lake Boulevard. He followed it and a high-risk stop was made on Interstate 5 at Bonnyview. Thompson allegedly admitted that he knew the car was stolen and that he had gotten the car the previous day, the same day of his release. He was booked into jail. Redding Police say 515 vehicles were stolen in Redding last year.
