A wrong-way driver ran head-on into another car on Highway 44 early Thursday morning, according to the CHP. The crash happened at 2:16AM in the eastbound lanes near Victor Avenue. After the crash, the wrong-way driver fled and took the Shasta View exit. The car was possibly a white Chevy Corsica. It’s believed to have a smashed windshield and extensive front-end damage.
