A man has been given a life sentence for molesting a 12-year-old Redding girl. 50-year-old Gary Wayne Tankersley was found guilty of lewd and lascivious touching of the victim. It was his third strike. Tankersley has two prior convictions for first degree rape of a child under the age of 14 in Oklahoma. He was sentenced on Thursday to 25 years to life in state prison. If he’s ever released, he’ll have to register as a sex offender for life.
