A Red Bluff woman is going to prison for a violent incident in February. 26-year-old Yvette Rodriguez was choking her 6-year-old daughter when someone came into the room and stopped her. The witness was able to separate Rodriguez from the little girl and push her out of the house. Unable to get back in, Rodriguez started lighting things on fire on the front porch. She then got into an argument with another woman at the scene and started throwing things at her, then pulled out a knife and said she would kill her. During the struggle that followed, the knife was taken from Rodriguez. She was on probation at the time for possession of a gun by a felon. She’s been sentenced to 7 years 8 months in state prison.
