Annual Happy Valley Strawberry Festival Is Saturday

Strawberries are the theme, but the Happy Valley Strawberry Festival offers fun of many flavors. The annual festival is Saturday at West Valley High School on Happy Valley Road just north of Gas Point Road. The day kicks off with a strawberry pancake breakfast at 7AM by local 4-H and F.F.A. students. The festival then continues until 5 O’clock with arts and craft booths, entertainment on 3 stages, horse rides, a huge classic car and tractor show, and lots more. The signature attraction, of course, is the generous servings of strawberries, ice cream, and short cake. They’ll be going through one hundred 30 pound buckets of strawberries, 4,000 shortcakes and one hundred 3 gallon buckets of ice cream. Admission and parking are free.
