A Mountain Gate man is in jail after stabbing his roommate multiple times with a pair of scissors, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. At 8:40PM Monday night, deputies were called to a home on Copper Canyon Road off Old Oregon Trail. They found 60-year-old Louis Garcia with multiple stab wounds to his arms and head. A pair of scissors and a pair of pliers were recovered, apparently both having been used in the attack. 53-year-old William Wayne Sobieski was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He had allegedly attacked Garcia in the living room of the home for unknown reasons. Garcia, who was able to call 9-1-1, was treated at Mercy Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
