A Redding Police Officer has been honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. On Saturday at their Northern California Law Enforcement Recognition Event in Woodland, RPD Officer Jacob Provencio was named top cop for the entire Sacramento region. The award is based on numbers and last year, Provencio arrested 147 people on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Since joining the RPD in 2005 Provencio has made more than 1300 DUI arrests.
