A Redding man who admitted to raping children has been sentenced. 50-year-old Anthony Quiroz Barrera entered guilty pleas last month to charges involving two children under the age of 14. He admitted that he used force and that he engaged in substantial sexual conduct. He also has a prior strike conviction. Tuesday Barrera was sentenced to 28 years in state prison.
