The driver of a wrecked car fled the scene in Cottonwood overnight, leaving the car to burn. At around 12:30AM a resident near Bowman Road and Plateau Road heard a crash, then saw something on fire outside her fence. In a few minutes the car was fully engulfed in flames. The occupants were milling around in the roadway but they did not stick around for the CHP to show up. The car completely burned up and was hauled away at around 3:30AM.
