A 37-year-old Happy Valley man already serving a prison sentence for a Shasta County vehicular manslaughter has been sentenced for a couple of Tehama County residential burglaries. Justin Arrowsmith was convicted last year for his part in the July 2013 death of 41-year-old Gina Hansen on Lassen Avenue in Happy Valley. Arrowsmith was sitting on a Quadrunner in the middle of the road in the dark talking to Hansen when Bryan Reed came along on a Harley-Davidson and rear-ended the quad, knocking Hansen to the ground and killing her. Arrowsmith was sentenced to 8 years in state prison. When he completes that sentence, he’ll have to serve an additional 16 months for thefts from the garages of at least two Tehama County homes.
