A Redding man found guilty last month has been sentenced for the stabbing death of another man. In the afternoon of April 23rd of last year, 28-year-old Pete Jeppesen was found on the ground in front of an Akard Avenue apartment complex suffering from a stab wound. He died a short time later at the hospital. Officers learned Jeppesen had been in a fight with 37-year-old Morgan Eastwood Eddy, who was eventually found nearby on Cypress Avenue. He was convicted May 25th of first degree murder with a deadly weapon enhancement. On Friday he was sentenced to 26 years to life in state prison.
