An Anderson man was killed by a train Tuesday night. A little after 7 O’clock Anderson Police were called to the area of Ox Yoke Road and Highway 273. Two people were already there looking for the man, who was reportedly intoxicated and was suspected of trying to break into a nearby business. Officers were told the man was probably in a field to the east of the tracks. He was found when a northbound Union Pacific freight train ran over him. The man had been laying across the tracks between Alexander Avenue and Ox Yoke. His identity has not been determined.
