Rachel Jones has been found alive. The 32-year-old Redding woman was reported missing Monday after having not been seen since Saturday and her car was found by the CHP Tuesday west of Ono. A search of that area was done by the RPD with a K-9 and a CHP helicopter but Rachel was not found. Since then Redding Police investigators had been following sightings and leads in Redding, but Shasta County search and rescue teams and the sheriff’s office continued to comb the hills west of Ono. Thursday Rachel was located in a remote area several miles west of the Ono Store. She was suffering from extreme dehydration and wounds resulting from exposure. A helicopter delivered her to Shasta Regional Medical Center for treatment. Redding Police say no foul play was involved in the disappearance and the investigation is closed.
