A Red Bluff man has gotten a long prison sentence for a box of bullets. When Red Bluff Police stopped by for a probation compliance search at the home of 22-year-old Dylan Vincent Mehringer in May, they found him asleep on a couch in the garage. Underneath that couch they found 2 boxes of ammunition, which he admitted to placing there 3 or 4 days earlier. For being a convicted felon in possession of ammo, Mehringer has been given a 4 year 8 month state prison sentence.
