An Oregon man was arrested for drunk driving after a crash in East Redding early Thursday morning. At around 10 minutes to 3 multiple 9-1-1 callers reported a crash on Victor Avenue at El Vista Street. When officers and medics arrived they found a Ford Probe completely demolished after crashing into several excavators that were parked off the road from daytime road construction. The car’s passenger, 27-year-old Catelynn Odai had to be freed from the wreckage using jaws of life. She suffered moderate injuries. The driver, 38-year-old Robert Chandler, was arrested for DUI and released to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
