A wanted man was captured after allegedly being caught in the act of a residential burglary. The residents of a home on Lincoln Street were away and a friend went by to check on the place at around 1:30AM Friday afternoon. He discovered a man in the backyard stashing jewelry and other items that had been stolen from inside the house. When the burglar saw the caretaker he fled on a bicycle. He appeared to be heading toward Safeway on Pine Street, so an RPD Officer went looking for him and found 54-year-old Jessie Christopher Trujillo inside the store. The witness identified him as the burglar, and Trujillo reportedly admitted to it. He already had two misdemeanor warrants.
