Council Agrees To Install Fencing At South City Park

In an effort to clear illegal drug usage and other undesirable elements from the South City Park , it will be fenced and closed except for those who go through a reservation system. The park has been a problem for the city for several years. Police Chief Roger Moore told the city council Tuesday night that his department is overwhelmed by calls to South City Park and he supported the idea of closing the park, but acknowledged that the homeless will probably just move to other areas of the city.
