The CHP is reporting that a woman in her 50’s was killed after being struck by a car in South Redding Thursday night. The unidentified woman was walking along Highway 273 north of Happy Valley Road about 9:45PM. The CHP says that as se was trying to cross the southbound lanes, she was struck by a Honda Sedan driven by a 27-year-old woman from Redding. She was not injured, and authorities have not released her name. The woman’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
