Business owners who’ve suffered losses due to area fires can get various long and short term loans, for as much as 2 Million Dollars. One short term option is the Fire Relief Loan Fund, created specifically for small businesses with fewer than 10 employees suffering losses from the Carr and Klamathon Fires. The money, up to $5,000, may be used for immediate needs like rent, payroll, utilities, fire cleanup and other expenses. There are no loan fees, with a 6 percent interest rate and a term of 24 months. Other larger loan programs are available to help businesses recovering.
