Tehama County Inmate Busted for Homemade Weapon

A Tehama County inmate has been sentenced to prison for making a weapon while behind bars. 32-year-old Victor Manuel Camarillo was working in the jail kitchen when a correctional officer walked in and heard the sound of metal hitting the floor. The only inmate around was Camarillo, who was looking down. At his feet was a butter knife that had been sharpened to a point at the end and with a handle fashioned from masking tape and a bandana. For possession of a weapon while in custody with 2 special allegations, Camarillo has been given an additional 7 years in state prison.
