In a case similar to the June theft of a van with 14 show dogs in Redding, Anderson Police reunited a Chihuahua with it’s owner. “Sam” was left unattended in a van Monday afternoon while his owners stopped in the area of Gateway and Balls Ferry Road. The engine and air conditioning were running because of the heat. A witness apparently followed the van in an attempt to confront them about the situation. The van which was stolen was found abandoned nearby after the occupants 23-year-old Ryland Quigley, and Travis Wilson Anderson fled on foot. Quigley was found to be on post release community supervision and Wilson Anderson on felony probation. They were both arrested for vehicle theft, dog theft, and violation of their probation.
