Drug Agents Find Steroids After Reports Of Shots Fired

A Red Bluff man who drank too much should have left his gun alone. Monday morning at 2:19AM, Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Warren Avenue in Red Bluff on a report of gunshots. They found Johnny Davis inside the residence, yelling. When deputies announced their presence, Davis went outside and got into a vehicle, not complying with deputy’s commands. After a brief standoff, Davis was detained and taken into custody. Deputies say he was intoxicated to the point of not being able to care for himself. Because of the reported gunfire and yelling, a sweep was made of the residence to determine if there was anyone with injuries. No one was found, but they did find evidence of drug sales and illegal firearm activity. Agents from the Tehama Interagency Drug Enforcement Task Force were called in and a search warrant was issued. Agents reported finding a large quantity of suspected anabolic steroids with an estimated value of $75,000, evidence of sales, 2 firearms, expended shell casings and 3 high capacity magazines.
