A man has been stabbed after an argument with his wife. Late Sunday afternoon, Redding Police responded to 1259 Market Street after a woman reportedly called 9-1-1 to say that she had stabbed her husband. Officers found the victim, wearing only a Tshirt, with multiple stab wounds and a slash wound to his neck. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Investigators determined that the couple had been arguing in an upstairs apartment when the woman allegedly attacked the man from behind with a folding knife, stabbing him in the back and slashing his throat. The victim fled the apartment and was assisted by nearby citizens. Redding Police say 25-year-old Sandi Garfias-Franco was questioned and provided investigators with inconsistent statements regarding what led to the stabbing. Garfias-Franco was arrested for attempted murder and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
