The identity of the woman who was killed in a crash last Thursday night has been released by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. 21-year-old Sierra Rylee Seitz of Redding was the driver of a Kia Optima that was southbound on Alta Mesa Drive. She apparently ran the stop sign at Rancho Road, hitting a large rock on the other side of the road. Airbags had deployed, but she had not been wearing her seatbelt. Seitz was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem examination has been completed, but details haven’t been released. The case remains under investigation by the Redding Police Department.
