Two people in Shasta County are being tested for the Coronavirus Covid-19. Public health officials say they’re working with local medical providers to test two patients who have met the criteria. The illness has not been confirmed yet, but is pending preliminary lab results. One of the patients was apparently aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship docked at San Francisco. A 71-year-old Placer County man on the same cruise has died of the Coronavirus. All the passengers currently aboard that ship are being tested before being allowed to come ashore. Symptoms to watch for include cough, runny nose, congestion, sore throat, body aches, fatigue and fever of over 100 degrees. Anyone with these symptoms should stay at home to avoid infecting others.Everyone should be practicing general hygiene etiquette, which includes washing hands often with soap and warm water or an alcohol-based sanitizer. Frequently touched surfaces should also be kept clean.
